Ultra High Slip Control Panels
Standard Control Features
NEMA 3R Enclosure (IP32)
Sizes 1-4 include a threaded hub at top of conduit connection
Disconnect Devices: Either a motor circuit protector (HMCP) or a fusible disconnect switch is used through size 5 panels. HMCPs are rated to correspond to NEMA starter sizes. They are the fastest devices for clearing low-level faults. They feature resettable, quick make-quick break operation and dead front terminals.
Magnetic Starter: NEMA-rated contactor with three-pole Class 20 bimetallic, ambient compensated overload relay.
Pushbutton and Selector Switch: A start pushbutton and hand-off-auto switch are built into the enclosure and are gasketed to keep out moisture. Both are Oil-Tite.
Lightning Arrestor: A device normally mounted on the outside of the enclosure and wired to the bottom of the disconnect device. It is designed to absorb high voltage surges. These surges typically occur from lightning strikes on the incoming power line.
Time Delay Restart Timer: Used to sequence starting after a general power loss to the field. This prevents all units restarting simultaneously.
Control Circuit Transformer: Provides 120v single phase power to componenets within the panel that require this voltage for their operation.
Operation and Maintenance Manual: Included in each panel.
Optional Control Features
24-Hour Program Timer with Skip-A-Day: Used to program pump operation. Skip-A-Day allows the pump to be shut down for a complete day, then resume operation on the following day or days.
Phase Failure and Phase Reversal Relay: Provides protection to the electrical components from the loss of one of the three phases or from improper phase sequencing. The relay will shut down the unit when it senses one of these faults.
Pilot Light: Door mounted light that indicates a customer-specified condition (on, off, fault, etc.).
Relay for Vibration Switch: Relay mounted in the panel that receives a signal from the customer-provided switch and then turns off the pump.
Ammeter: Door-mounted meter and selector switch that allows customer to monitor current in each of the three phases.
Ground Fault Monitor: Monitors current leakage to ground. Shuts down motor when current to ground exceeds allowable levels.
Motor Temperature Lockout Circuit: Motor thermostat relay circuit that shuts motor down when overheated. Must be manually reset for restart.
Corrosion Inhibitor: Protects against salt and the effects of high humidity.
Manual Torque Mode Switch: A four-position switch that allows the user to switch between the four modes.
Power Factor Correction Capacitors: Improves power factor and reduces losses in the distribution system.
